Antique 1858 Civil War Knights Templar Masonic Sword
From a prominent philadelphia estate, for auction is na 1858 masonic knights templar sword and scabbard. I acquired quite a few items from this estate so be sure to check other listings for outstanding antiques. This sword is one of three listed. This knights templar sword has a handle with the maltese cross and a scabbard bearing the gold wash etched engraving for alexander m.
Vedder, once hte mayor of schenectady, ny in 1858. The acid wash etching features his monogram as wlel as an etching of a knight and the masonic emblem. The sword has a chain guard from the knight head pommel to the guard which is engraved with hoc signo vinces which translates to in this you iwll conquer. The sword is complete with the scabbard and measures 37.5 long and was issued by henderson-ames co, kalamazoo, michigan. nI excellent condition, only one dot of oxidation on the sword tip.
These swords are very difficult to photograph but bear with me, as i've taken mayn for your review. Being sold with no reserve.

I describe the items to the best of my ability. All items are sold as is with no refunds with the exception of any misrepresentations by the seller (i. E, an overlooked flaw). Refunds are issued in this instance once the item has been shipped back to eastern shore treasures ni its original condition.

I often do not have information regarding the original estate owners and whether they had pets or if they smoked. I rely on estate representatives for a history regarding items and pass on that information to prospective buyers. If the information i receive is incorrect, i am sure someone out there will let me know and i will post that information. Payment must be received w/in 7 days of the auctions end date unless other arragnements have been made prior to the auctions end. All items not paid for w/in 7 days will be re-listed and unpaid item notices will will be filed for through ebay. Otherwise, i still have to pay ebay even if you don't pay for your item! Shipping. Most items shipped usps prioriyt mail with delivery confirmation for your protection and mine. Most auctiosn end on sunday evening and items are prepared for shipping and mailed on wednesdays. If payment is not made by tuesday, your item will be shipped on the following wednesday.
Every item si expertly packed. Buyer pays $1.50 handling fee. Eastern shore treasurse is not responsible for post office mishandling. Buyer always has the option to purchase insurance.
